Data We Collect

We collect your email address, the documents you upload to the platform, and the chat history generated through your interactions with Velatum.

Embedding

All embedding is performed locally on Velatum's infrastructure using the BAAI/bge-small-en-v1.5 model. Your document content never leaves our servers during the embedding step.

Generation

Chat responses are generated via the Groq API. Document excerpts relevant to your query are sent to Groq to produce a response. No personally identifying information beyond the query context is transmitted.

Model Training

Velatum does not use your document content to train or fine-tune any machine learning model. Your documents are used solely to answer your queries.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual documents at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact support.
